WELCOME TO BREED SPECIAL, DOUBBLE SHOW AND RETIEVING TRIALS!
The Norwegian breed club for Italian Spinone and Bracco Italiano welcomes friends from home and abroad to our first breed special at Maarud Gaard and Maarud Gjestegaard.
We are looking forward to this weekend with lots of fun and activity related to our breeds! On Saturday and Sunday there will be exhibitions with Italian breed specialists as judges. On Saturday afternoon there will be a three-part retrieving trial where our dogs get to try themselves and face great challenges. Saturday evening there will be a “Hunters Dinner” for everyone!

Breed specialist from S.A.B.I, Dr. GIUSEPPE COLOMBO MANFRONI, judge Bracco Italiano. Manfroni is he current president of Società Amatori Bracco Italiano International.
Breed specialist from CIS, Dr. LUCA MASSIMINO judge Italian Spinone. Massimino is the former president of Club Italiano Spinoni.

Breed Special – Closed Retrieving trials for the breeds. Huka og Maarud Gjestegaard
The Retrieving trials (Land retrieving, water retrieving and track retrieving) will take place at Huka/Maarud Gjestegaard. The area is idyllic and will provide a fantastic setting for this event. See Retrieving trial regulations for details.
14.00 – Start Retrieving trial (May be changed if the Show is not finished)
UK (Youth Class) and AK (Open class) start with Water retrieving, then Land retrieving and Track retrieving.

Norsk Kennel Klub (NKK)’s exhibition regulations quote the following about ear and tail docking:
3.6 Ear/tail docking
Pursuant to the Norwegian Food Safety Authority’s regulation no. 614, ear/tail docked dogs may not participate in exhibitions or trials, regardless of the country in which the docking has been carried out.
Natural stubby tail: Reference is made to Norsk Kennel Klub (NKK)’s current list of breeds with a natural stubby tail.
The following applies to dogs that have had their tails amputated/docked (See
Exhibition rules section 3.7:
Dogs that have had their tails amputated/docked for veterinary medical reasons can be exhibited if a veterinary certificate is presented with reasons for the operation.
Note: The certificate must contain the dog’s reg. no., pedigree registered name and ID number. A participation permit for such a dog is issued upon application to NKK.
